About

Harley Weigle is a ceramic artist, educator, and marketing director whose work navigates the intersection of craft, material, and contemporary culture. He serves as an Adjunct Professor of Ceramics at Shippensburg University, where he teaches both foundational and advanced courses in wheel throwing, handbuilding, and sculptural practice. In addition to his academic role, Weigle is the Marketing Director for Mudtools, a leading innovator in the field of ceramic tool design, where he works to connect craft, design, and education through storytelling and visual communication.

Weigle’s studio practice centers on the exploration of form, surface, and process—balancing utility with aesthetic intention. Rooted in material intelligence and the tradition of functional pottery, his work reflects a continual dialogue between the handmade object and its cultural context. Across his roles as maker, teacher, and creative director, Weigle is dedicated to advancing the conversation around contemporary craft and the evolving identity of the modern ceramic artist.
